The West Concord 5 & 10, established in 1935 and purchased by the Forbes family in 1951 for $12,500, was a venerated institution that finally closed its doors in 2019. We are proud to have the iconic sign on display in the museum, and we are also fortunate to have interviewed proprietor Maynard Forbes who was associated with the store his entire life.
